Turquoise Mountain has introduced the Acheik Collection, comprising three designs in a range of colors, all hand-woven entirely in silk.

Acheik is derived from the Burmese term luntaya acheik—luntaya, meaning'100 shuttles,refers to the intricate weaving technique, while acheik describes the characteristic undulating, wave-like motifs that date back thousands of years.

Once exclusive to the Burmese royal court, these sumptuous silk hand-woven designs are now available to an international audience through Turquoise Mountain’s collaboration with master weavers in Myanmar. By working closely with these artisans, Turquoise Mountain not only helps them earn a livelihood from their craft, but also to sustain Myanmar’s unique textile traditions.
